Wilma received her nursing and her anesthesia education at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She served the in the role of Chief Anesthetist at the University of Wisconsin at Madison until retiring Spring 2019. She currently practices anesthesia at the VA Surgery Center in Dublin, Ohio.

Wilma has donated her time serving in nearly every role for the Wisconsin ANA, on many AANA committees and as Chair of the AANA Foundation from 2014-2017. Annually she delivers anesthesia care in El Salvador as one of her many philanthropic activities.

Wilma has served as a clinical educator and consultant in the pharmaceutical industry and enjoys sharing her clinical interests and energetic passion with others. Wilma has created and is presenter of the Pioneers of Anesthesia Lecture Series at AANA National Congress annually.

As a long-standing attendee of this Copper Mountain meeting as far back as Ski and Learn, Wilma’s children, Stephanie and Holly, learned to ski in the Copper Ski School…and perhaps soon her new grandsons Clark and Grant will as well !
