Matthew is the owner and operator of a Maryland-based mobile anesthesia practice, in continuous operation since 1984. He also serves as adjunct nurse anesthesia faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University and Georgetown University. 

With 30 years of experience in healthcare, beginning as an EMT in a volunteer fire station, Dr. Zinder is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on topics including stress management, clinician wellness, anesthesia practice, and business operations. 

He hosts The Provider Wellness Podcast, featuring expert discussions on healthcare provider well-being. 

He is the Immediate-Past President of the Maryland Association of Nurse Anesthetists and serves on the AANA State Organizational Development Committee. 

Dr. Zinder is also co-owner of ProgramPrep, a tutoring service supporting nurse anesthesia students and residents preparing for the SEE and NCE exams. 

He holds a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) from Missouri State University.
